Regular Shares Account (Savings)

Your savings account at Ecusta Credit Union acts as a financial building block allowing you to apply for all additional services.  It is called a “Share Account” because it represents your ownership in the credit union.

The savings account requires a minimum deposit of $5.00. You can remain a member for life as long as you keep the account active and maintain the required minimum balance.

The interest rate is declared by the Board of Directors and is subject to change. Dividends are compounded daily and credited quarterly.

Your savings are federally insured to at least $250,000and backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government.

Share Certificates

Share Certificates at Ecusta Credit Union are an ideal savings plan for members who have money to invest over short or extended periods of time.

  • Share Certificates are available for 3, 6, and 12 month terms

  • $500 minimum deposit required

You may borrow against your Share Certificate at a very competitive rate.

There is a penalty of 90 days interest on 3 & 6 months and 150 days interest on 12 months for early withdrawals or cancelation.

Individual Retirement Accounts

Some types of IRAs allow you to save without paying taxes on the funds until you begin to make withdrawals, while other IRAs offer tax-deferred earnings.

  • We offer Traditional, Roth, and Coverdell Education Savings Accounts

  • No minimum balance required and no monthly service charge.

  • Early withdrawals are allowed but penalties and taxes may apply according to the IRS regulations.

  • Dividend rates are compounded and paid quarterly based on the average daily balance. 

  • Contribution limits may vary depending upon your age and the type of IRA.

Christmas Club Account

The Christmas Club account allows you to accumulate separate savings throughout the year for holidays, special events, etc.

  • This is an open access account and your money is available anytime.

  • No minimum balance requirement

  • No withdrawal fees

Dividends are compounded daily and credited quarterly.
